Miss 6 Three Point Basketball Shooting Drill

Miss 6 Three Point Basketball Shooting Drill

Shooters often struggle to make a shot if they have already missed a couple in a row. They put unneeded pressure on themselves when they should be having a short memory and focusing on the next shot. This catch and shoot basketball shooting drill will help work on being able to make shots with the pressure of misses counting against the shooter.

If they can learn to battle through and stay mentally tough with this basketball drill, they will, hopefully, be able to shoot themselves out of a slump in an actual game. Make sure that each player understands what a good shot is for them, and then encourage them to keep shooting, whether they make or miss.

  • Once the player misses a total of 6 shots, the drill is over.
  • For the player to beat this basketball shooting drill, they must go all the way around the arc, making 3 shots from each spot, and then come back doing the same thing, all without missing a total of 6 shots.
