Post position makes all the difference in the world when it comes to finishing around the basket. The better the position is when the player catches the ball, the higher the percentage the finish is going to be. This all comes down to the player working hard for positioning before they receive the ball.
Along with a few other key teaching points, this basketball training video will explain how to get great positioning on the block and then how to finish with a hook shot right at the basket. It is a simple move that can be very hard for the defense to guard when mastered.
