Goals of the Drill
- Develop the proper footwork, basketball shooting mechanics, and follow through on your shot.
Coaching Points
- Show your hands, step through the pass, jump straight up and down, and hold your follow-through.
- Wait till the rebounder is ready to pass the ball before stepping into your shot.
Basketball Drill Instructions
- Place the chair at about 18 feet from the basket on either wing or at the top of the key.
- One player is going to rebound; the other is going to shoot.
- The player who will shoot will start behind the chair and move into a shot on either side of the chair.
- After the player shoots the basketball, they will back peddle around the chair and step into a shot on the other side.
- The player rebounding needs to try and rebound the basketball without letting it touch the floor.
- You can do this basketball drill for time or number of shots/makes.
