Goals of the Drill

Coaching Points
- Stay low in a dribbling stance and keep the basketball tight to your body.
- Try not to rise up out of your stance when you make the move.
- Make the move as quickly as you can so that you will have more time to catch the tennis ball.
- The harder you toss the ball against the wall, the more challenging you will make this basketball dribbling drill.
Basketball Drill Instructions
- Stand about 5 feet away from a wall with a basketball and a tennis ball.
- Get down into a dribbling stance and start dribbling the basketball.
- Now toss the tennis ball underhanded against the wall while the tennis ball is in the air, dribble the basketball between your legs to the other hand and then catch the tennis ball overhanded with the hand that just had the basketball in it.
- Take a couple of dribbles in between, and then make the move again.
- Continue back and forth for the desired amount of time.
