Being able to be explosive and athletic has a lot to do with technique and form. It comes from playing low, and then being able to push off and drive in the direction that you want to go. Whether you are attacking out of the triple threat, making a move off of the dribble, or doing a defensive slide; it all comes from this athletic base position.
This specific basketball drill is going to work on being able to rip through on the catch or out of the triple threat, but it really translates into so many areas of the game. It is a great drill to warm up with and to work on the techniques driving off your back leg.
