Misdirection is key when drawing up a great basketball play. For this play, the defense thinks that the play is for the post man on the block, but it is actually for a curl off of the post. The big man’s defender is so focused on guarding the post up that he can’t help on the screen. The big man is actually setting a baseline pin down screen with his post up action. If run the right way this can get your team an easy basket.
