Villanova Wildcats: 2-3 Zone Cross Screen Side Ball Screen Basketball Play (11-12)

Beating a zone requires player movement, ball movement, and driving the gaps. If you can set up a basketball play that does all three of these things you are usually going to end up with an open shot. It is important that the players who are not in the direct play are still a threat to score. They need to be down ready to shoot, drive, or swing the ball on the kick out. If they are not a threat to score then the defense will just suck in without and consequence and the play won’t work.
