Not every player needs to work on the same things, so having a general workout for all your players is not the best use of time. Break up your players into specific groups according to what they need to work on.
Find the right balance between working on their strengths and their weaknesses. For example, if you have a post player who will primarily stay on the block in a game, then mainly work on their basketball post moves, but still work on other areas of his/her game like ball-handling, shooting, etc., just don’t spend as much time on them.
Teach players why they are doing a skill a certain way. That way, they will be more likely to actually do it the right way when they are in a game or working out on their own. If they aren’t using the skills that they are being taught, then the training is not working the right way. So this is a pretty important step in the basketball training process.
