By getting right into your basketball plays from transition you limit the defenses time to get set, and to be in the help on the ball screen action. For this play to work though, all of the offensive players need to be sprinting up the floor to get into position, because the longer the play waits to develop the more the defense will be able to get set and be in the help.
The horns set ball screen allows the ball handler to either go right or left and use a ball screen. This is a great transition ball screens basketball play if you have a player with a hot hand or that is just a really great scorer. It allows them to get a quality look at the basket without having to run much offense.
