Sometimes the most dangerous person on the floor is the man throwing the ball in. This is just a simple backdoor basketball play, but what makes it hard to guard is the execution. The man throwing the ball in must set his man up and the big man who throws the pass needs to lead the cutter to the basket. Also, the other 3 players need to be spacing the floor ready to shoot in case their defender tries to over help on the backdoor cut. This play is all about executing the details.

Play Tips: The person throwing the ball in should fake like they are coming to get a handoff before cutting backdoor. The weakside needs to stay spaced and big man needs to lead the cutter.
