If you can get the basketball to go from side to side on offense and get the defense shift then you are going to have better driving lanes and spacing to run your offense. This basketball play has a ball screen on one side of the floor directly into another ball screen on the other side of the floor. Keep the ball moving until there is an opening. Eventually, if run the right way, the play will cause the defense to breakdown and something will be open off of the ball screen action.
Play Name: Loyola: Side Ball Screens Basketball Play (12-13)

Play Goal: Run ball screen action on one side of the floor and then quickly reverse the ball and run another ball screen action on the other side of the floor.
Play Tips: Be aggressive on the first ball screen and if there is an opening for a shot or a teammate to get a shot take it. Don’t catch and hold before the second ball screen, get right into the action. Ball handler needs to read the defense and make a good play out of the ball screen.
