Becoming a high level shooter is not just about physically being able to shoot the basketball, it also heavily ties into the mental side of things as well. Great shooters are mentally tough and are able to make multiple shots in a row with pressure on them. They are able to handle the pressure and still make big shots regardless of it.
This is an advanced shooting drill demonstrated by 3 point sharp shooter Omri Casspi, and it is designed to really work on the mental side of shooting. It is going to force the player to be able to make multiple shots in a row knowing that there is a penalty for missing a shot. It is a great basketball drill to do at the end of a workout to force the player to lock in mentally even when they are fatigued.
