As a point guard or primary ball handler, learning to pass off of the dribble can add a lot of value to your game. As the level of competition increases, it become a necessity. The reason why it is so important, is because you are not always going to have a large window of time to get the pass in. Sometimes the offensive player will quickly pop open off of down screen, back cut, etc. and you wont have the time to pick the basketball up with both hands to make the pass. It is also important that the player is able to make the pass with either hand, because the cutter could come open on either side of the floor.
This basketball passing drill is going to allow the player to get a lot of repetitions at this type of pass, and it is great because it can either be done in team training, or it could be done by a player on their own. All it takes is two basketballs and a wall to bounce the ball off of.
