To be a great basketball shooter, it is not just enough to be able to stand at the three-point line and catch and shoot. You also need to be able to shoot the basketball on the move and off of screens. This means that you need to use different basketball drills to get used to moving, cutting, and coming into your shot from different angles and spots on the floor.
This basketball shooting drill is great for simulating game speed shot off of down screens. This basketball drill is named after Ray Allen, who was one of the best at moving without the basketball and shooting off screens. As much as this drill will work on shooting, it is also going to work on footwork. This means that you need to really lock-in on the correct footwork for setting up your defender, using the screen, and then, finally, using the fade cut.
