Another key is being in great shape, because if you are in great shape you don't have to worry about being fatigued as much.
The 7-5-3-1 shooting drill is a shooting/conditioning drill that is used at UNCG, and it is going to help the player learn to make shots when they are tired, and also help improve their overall conditioning. Basketball drills like this are great because they work on a specific skill like shooting as well as conditioning. That means that you are able to maximize your gym time, and won't have to do as much straight running.
