Being able to handle the basketball as a point guard is just one part of the equation, you also have to be able to see the floor and make the pass to the open teammate. Sometimes though while handling the basketball, you may see a teammate come open off of a; down screen, back cut, etc. and you may not have enough time to pick the basketball up with both hands before making the pass. So it is important that you are able to make a quality pass with one hand off of the dribble, this type of pass is called a push pass.
This basketball passing drill is going to work specifically on this type of pass, and it is also going to add in some ball handling as well. The goal of the drill is to help the player get a lot of repetitions at passing off the dribble. Because in order to make this type of pass in a game the player needs to be comfortable with it. If the players pass isn't sharp or on target, there is a good chance that it will be a turnover. So really make sure that you have mastered this type of pass before using it in a game.
