When a guard drives past their defender down the lane, the post defender will usually step up to help. This is a great time for a dump off pass to the offensive post player for a finish. The problem though, is that these passes are often in tight spaces, and not always thrown with the greatest accuracy. So it is important that the post player develops great hands, and is able to gather these tough catches and still be able to finish around the basket.
This basketball post moves drill is going to help to develop the post players hands by making them catch a bad pass off of the toss backs (or coaches pass). It will give the post player a lot of repetitions at these types of passes, and will allow them to work on different types of finishes around the basket.
